On 27 April 2016, DG MARE kicked off a communication campaign on fisheries in the Mediterranean. DG MARE revealed the name and the tagline of the campaign, “MedFish4Ever – Our heritage, our future”, at the SEAFOOD EXPO in Brussels (26-28 April 2016). The event is the world’s largest seafood trade show, gathering buyers, suppliers and industry professionals from over 140 countries.
In relation to these actions, the editorial “Fish in the Mediterranean: stock recovery means fishermens’ recovery” by Karmenu Vella was shared with the press in Algeria, France, Greece, Italy, Morocco and Spain to place the editorial in targeted general press outlets, as well as in Mediterranean regional newspapers.
